Boston native Casey Affleck is set to tackle Boston Strong, the story of the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon attack that left three dead and scores wounded, THR has confirmed. The project, which is not set up at a studio yet, is based on Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge’s book of the same name, which was adapted on spec by The Fighter writers Eric Johnson and Paul Tamasy. Affleck, who would star in and produce, and fellow producers John Ridley and Dorothy Aufiero plan to begin taking the project out to potential financiers in the coming weeks.
