OpenTable, the online restaurant reservation source, announced this year's 2014 Diners' Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Wine Lists in America. Naturally, the overall winner was America's largest wine-producing region, California, with 16 awards. What is surprising is this year's strong showing from Midwestern and Southern states, where wine does not grow in abundance. This year's second place ranking goes to Ohio with a total of 12 restaurant awards. Maryland follows closely behind with a total of eight award-winning restaurants.
