Meet Milan’s latest rock star. A 36-year-old German who plays with fashion, instead of guitars. For the last couple of seasons, the shows of Switzerland-based designer Philipp Plein, have been among the most-anticipated of Milan its fashion week schedule. If not because of Plein’s appetite for chinchilla furs and €80.000 croc leather jackets, it are the live performances by names such as Rita Ora and Iggy Azalea that keep his following hungry for more. With Asia being the brand its most lucrative market, followed by Russia, the law school dropout has now set its sights on the American market.
