Swans announce new EP, share alternate version of "Oxygen" — consequenceofsound.net

On November 24th, Swans will release a new EP featuring several unreleased versions of “Oxygen”, the eight-minute epic from their latest LP, To Be Kind. The four versions featured on the EP include a live recording from Spain’s Primavera Festival; an early demo frontman Michael Gira recorded at his home studio; an acoustic version; and an edit courtesy of Mute founder Daniel Miller, which is now streaming below. With said rework, Miller cuts the song’s gargantuan run time to a succinct three minutes while maintaining the original’s frantic spirit and manic energy.
