Guitarist Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Bruce Springsteen) is no stranger to political activism and this past weekend, he officially threw his hat into the Ferguson, Mo., ring with the release of his newly recorded protest song “Marching for Ferguson.” The song was made available for free download yesterday on the newly launched Artists for Ferguson website, but is also soliciting donations to help those recently arrested with legal funds. “I wrote the song in the immediate aftermath of Michael Brown’s murder and performed it live about 36 hours after,” he says.
