NBC orders pilot for 'Bewitched' followup series — hypable.com

The world of Bewitched may be making its way back into mainstream pop culture – if NBC has its way with a pilot. Following a bidding war between NBC and the original Bewitched’s old home at ABC, the peacock network has committed to filming a followup series pilot. Deadline describes the new show as an “imagining” of the original Bewitched which aired from 1964 – 1972. The new Bewitched “centers on Daphne — Samantha’s granddaughter and Tabitha’s daughter — a single twenty-something witch, who has always used her magical powers to conjure herself the perfect life,” according to the report. “But she soon realizes that the one thing she cannot conjure and control is the one thing she wants most – real love.”
