A chippy has come up with a sizzling seasonal treat - deep-fried Christmas Pudding.
Simpsons Fish and Chips in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is battering traditional plum duff.
The dish comprises of four chunks of Christmas pudding, lightly battered in the shop's signature batter and deep fried until warm and caramelised - then served with a choice of Brandy Butter or vanilla ice cream.
The chippy, recently named one of the nation's top 10 chip shops, has priced the deep-fried Christmas pud at £3.95 or, alternatively, can be bought as part of a special £12 Festive Menu which also includes cod and chips plus a glass of Bucks Fizz.
