These days, Whitney Port is a powerhouse fashion designer who’s getting ready to say “I do,” but since it’s Throwback Thursday, we’re waxing nostalgic and remembering her humble beginnings. Way back in 2006, when we first met the SoCal native on “The Hills,” she was a wide-eyed college student interning at Teen Vogue with Lauren Conrad. The ladies’ friendship quickly blossomed — that’ll happen when you’re working long hours backstage at the industry’s hottest events and runway shows — and the blond buddies began to socialize outside of Lisa Love’s offices. They had a wild ride: Whitney took Lauren’s place to go to the City of Lights — and became the girl who did go to Paris — and the pair often hit up Tinseltown’s finest establishments in between quick jaunts to The Big Apple. And through it all, they managed to laugh their way through some pretty awkward scenarios — and always live it up.
