A spirited throng of zombies and skeletons are converging on bars and restauarants around the country as Day of the Dead enthusiasts celebrate the Mexican holiday with imported beers and tequila shots.
The Australian Museum is getting in on the action, reviving their popular Jurassic Lounge series for a massive fiesta to go with their latest exhibition, Aztecs. With 1600 expected to attend, the sold-out Jurassic Lounge event is shaping up to be Sydney’s biggest Day of the Dead celebration. The colourful showcase of Mexican art, crafts, photography and traditional dance will be topped off with face painting, Silent Disco and burlesque performances.
