If you’re wondering why Warner Bros.’ Man of Steel didn’t feature a post-credit sequence teasing the next movie in its DC superhero sequence — a la 2010’s Green Lantern — it turns out that it’s all down to one man: Christopher Nolan.
As revealed in a profile of the Interstellar director from The Guardian, Nolan — who acted as executive producer for the 2013 Zack Snyder movie, as well as working on its story — made the decision not to follow Marvel’s lead when the studio floated the idea. According to the newspaper, he responded, “A real movie wouldn’t do that.”
