The MTV Europe Music Awards celebrated its 20th anniversary with a time travel-themed ceremony at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, where Ariana Grande, One Direction, Katy Perry and host Nicki Minaj took home major hardware.
While the young guns snatched most of the fan-voted awards, long-standing acts had their time to shine onstage, too, with Ozzy Osbourne accepting the Global Icon honor, U2 performing "Every Breaking Wave," and Slash giving a tribute to Osbourne's "Crazy Train."
