A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Tower of London to see the poppies. And today, as it’s Armistice Day, I thought I’d share some of my photos with you.
‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’ is the name of this art installation of 888,426 ceramic poppies, with each one representing a British military fatality in the First World War. Created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper, the installation marks one hundred years since the first full day of Britain’s involvement in the First World War.
