Universal will be throwing a big fat Greek wedding. The studio has acquired U.S. distribution rights to My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, the sequel to one of the most successful indie movies of all time. Kirk Jones, who directed Nanny McPhee and What to Expect When You're Expecting, has signed on to direct the film, which sees the return of star Nia Vardalos, who also wrote the script. The Playtone production centers on a family secret and an even bigger, fatter wedding that brings the Portokalos family together again.
