Anne Hathaway Goes Indie — nylon.com

You may love her, you may hate her, but there's no denying that Anne Hathaway has had one of the most interesting and successful film career trajectories in the past few decades. For the most part, she's stuck with larger films, like The Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada, and Les Misérables. But for her next project, Hathaway is going indie. Song One follows Franny (Hathaway), an archaeologist who returns home after her younger brother gets into a serious accident. While her brother remains in critical condition, she begins reading his journal, visiting his favorite spots, and recording familiar sounds to play to him. Along the way, she meets his favorite singer-songwriter, James Forester (Johnny Flynn). Surprise, surprise, the two begin to form a romantic relationship. All seems to go well until (and you knew this was coming) he has to go back to the UK.
