One doesn’t have to talk to author, businesswoman, real estate scion, jewelry designer, and now, lifestyle entrepreneur Ivanka Trump for long to get the impression that she rates work pretty highly. (And that she expects you will, too.) In point of fact, she’s hard at work herself on revolutionizing the term. Her newest venture—IvankaTrump.com—aims to become the go-to online destination for the young, modern professional woman, a demographic she feels is both often misrepresented (flustered women sporting black pantsuits seem to prevail in any and all pop culture depictions) and underserved. The site offers tips on what she calls “how to live a full life,” which includes everything from style to home, and work to play, and Trump is something of a poster girl for that full life—beyond the website, the mother of two studied business at the Wharton School, and her current professional titles include the executive vice president of development and acquisitions at the Trump Organization, principal of Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, and CEO of the Ivanka Trump Collection. Today, Trump launches her latest initiative, the #WomenWhoWork campaign, beginning with a video starring women who both cherish their occupations and resist being defined by them—women who, Trump explains, “don’t fit into a box, or the stereotype of ‘what working women look like,’ ” women like philanthropist Lauren Bush Lauren, chef Melia Marden, and ballerina Sara Mearns, among others, all of whom discuss the idea of the work/life balance.
