Latavius Murray can. With two first-half touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night—including an explosive 90-yard run—Murray more than likely thrust himself to the top of Oakland's depth chart in the backfield.
Compared to the plodding Maurice Jones-Drew and the injury-prone and inconsistent Darren McFadden, Murray is a breath of fresh air. A physical specimen at 6'3" and 225 pounds with excellent speed in the open field, Murray deserves at least a chance to be the team's top option in the running game for the rest of the season.
