Nexon has at last revealed their Ghost in the Shell Online FPS at G-Star 2014 in Korea. The game is clearly based around the style and characters as seen in the Stand Alone Complex anime (rather than the manga or original films). This is not overly surprising as Nexon secured the rights for this from Kodansha back in 2012.
The original Ghost in the Shell started out as a manga, penned by the revered and mysterious Masamune Shirow. Set in a cyberpunk future, it dealt with the trials and tribulations of the government force known as Section 9 headed up by Motoko Kusanagi (shown above). Made up of a variety of cyborgs, they were tasked with fighting on the front-lines of a new and ever changing cyber war.
