Faith Evans put out her sixth album, Incomparable, on Monday. Billboard caught up with the R&B singer to talk about the inspiration for the new release, collaborating with Missy Elliott and how her experience in the '90s with the Bad Boy label informs her current work. Evans works in a number of styles on Incomparable. "Extraordinary" has a squelchy bass and crisp drums, evoking hip-hop soul, while the title track reaches back to '80s synth-funk. "I Deserve It," Evan's latest single, is her first collaboration with Elliott since the "Burnin' Up" remix -- produced by Pharrell back when he was in the Neptunes-- which came out more than 10 years ago. The song builds around a grimy piano sample and thick horns.
