Boyhood's Ellar Coltrane has signed with UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
After spending 12 years making Richard Linklater's literal coming-of-age drama, Coltrane, now 20, had expressed ambivalence about continuing acting. The Austin native told New York magazine in June that he had fired an agent at one point before recently reconsidering and signing with Cinetic Management. Joining a major talent agency, though, is the biggest indication of his seriousness in pursuing an acting career. (He also remains interested in visual arts.)
