The red blanket of ceramic poppies that covered the moat around the Tower of London until last month may be gone but it’s far from forgotten. The hugely popular evolving artwork by Paul Cummins, Tom Piper and Historic Royal Palaces is celebrated by photographer Mattia Bicci in this stirring new video that features timelapse, interviews with visitors and officials, and swooping aerial footage. Over five million people visited Blood Swept Land And Seas Of Red to commemorate the soldiers who died fighting in the First World War. If the poppies were a fitting tribute to them, Biacci’s video is a fitting record of the public’s appreciation.
