Jhene Aiko’s “Wading” video is more a short film than a typical music video. There isn’t any dialogue, but there is a storyline and Jhene stars as the film’s survivor. Aiko is stunning in the video’s dance scenes, but it’s hard to ignore the clip’s mysterious and somber tones. In the video, a man tries to put a substance in Jhene’s drink, another man thankfully intervenes and then a fight ensues. The fight sequence is followed by a mysterious ending in the edited version. Aiko took to Twitter to say she wasn’t too thrilled with the cuts that were made in the edited version.
