Just like with many entertainers, the holiday season is a big one for Dailey & Vincent. The month of December saw the International Bluegrass Music Association Award winners get their feet wet in the Christmas-tour business with their Spirit of Christmas show.
According to the duo's Darrin Vincent, it was a hit from the beginning. "Our first show was in Gainesboro, Tenn., which is Jamie Dailey's hometown, at the Jackson County High School. That was actually a fundraiser for a Helping Hands charity for the underprivileged children in the county. I think we had 1,100 people there. We ended up having to turn about 40 cars away, or the fire marshal was going to shut us down. We were so blessed to have raised well over $24,000 that night. Then, we played at Terre Haute, Ind., and that show had been sold out for close to three weeks."
