Billy Bob Thornton won Best Actor in a TV Movie or Mini-Series at the Golden Globes for his role in "Fargo," beating out Matthew McConaughey for "True Detective." Thornton plays Lorne Malvo, a dangerous drifter in Noah Hawley's FX mini-series "Fargo," which is inspired by the 1996 Coen brothers film of the same name. In addition to McConaughey, Thornton defeated his "Fargo " co-star Martin Freeman, as well as Woody Harrelson and Mark Ruffalo for the honor. This is Thornton's first Golden Globe award.
