The Super Bowl matchup might not be set, but that hasn’t stopped fans from booking their trip to the big game. With the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts set to play on Sunday to determine which teams will be in action on February 1, accommodations in Glendale are slimming as the Super Bowl is still over three weeks away.
Any fans hoping to make the trip to see the game at University of Phoenix Stadium might have a hard time finding a hotel room if they wait to see if their team wins on Sunday. According to priceline.com, there’s limited availability for hotel rooms in the Glendale area. In the 40-mile radius surrounding Glendale, which includes Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa and Fountain Hills, there are no 4- or 5-star hotel rooms available. Rooms that are available, at 3-stars and below, are mostly 10 miles or more away from the stadium. Only three 3-star hotels have rooms available with prices ranging from $297 to $549. With 2-star hotel rooms ranging from $139-$799, it would not be surprising if those 3-star rooms did not last very long.
