Retired star boxer and president of Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya is launching a new television channel, dubbed De La Hoya TV, partnering with Cancun Boxing promoter Pepe Gomez to do so. Joe Flint of the Wall Street Journal reported the news on Tuesday (h/t Edward Chaykovsky of BoxingScene.com). The report also indicates that the channel will be a video-on-demand service free of charge until the spring, when a subscription fee will be attached.
