Kate Moss is fashion’s favorite chameleon for a reason: The ever-prescient model wore the blanket as a coat well before it became a must-have moment, the bomber jacket just as the runway collections were filled with modern iterations of the classic, and the pajama suit as dressing down became de rigueur. Most recently the model who just celebrated her 41st birthday last week has been spotted in a series of statement coats. At her home in London, Moss sported a mash-up of fur textures and colors, breathing new life into the concept of fuzzy outerwear. Earlier this week, she slipped back into a blanket, but a more exaggerated, floor-length version with a leather buckle for a country-meets-city effect. But it was today’s daring fur featuring pelts and suede trim, unifying Southwestern, bohemian, and tribal concepts in one piece, that rises above the rest. Delicate, yet impactful layering necklaces and hoop earrings complete the look which will no doubt trickle down onto the runways soon.
