Forty-five years after his first music credit (he co-wrote, edited and scored the Oscar-winning short The Resurrection of Broncho Billy) and 37 years after composing the inimitably eerie Halloween soundtrack, legendary director John Carpenter is releasing his debut album. Entitled Lost Themes, the record is a startlingly vital collection of propulsive instrumental music recorded by Carpenter, his son Cody and his godson, Daniel Davies.
