In this age of the YouTube star, a well-chosen cover can make a career. Rock bands aren't known for embracing the modern, but the group FIDLAR -- the name is an acronym for "F--- It Dog, Life's a Risk" -- just released a clever cover of Sheryl Crow's "If It Makes You Happy."
In the clip, FIDLAR's rendition plays over parts from Crow's original music video (meta!). Watch it below:
"If It Makes You Happy" came out in 1996 as the lead single from Crow's self-titled album. It peaked at No. 10 on the Hot 100. All seems peaceful and pleasant in FIDLAR's version -- until around the one-minute mark, when the song suddenly explodes into a twisted mess.
