The McConnaissance (hopefully I’m spelling that right) continues with Syriana director Stephen Gaghan‘s upcoming project Gold, whose distribution rights will be made available to buyers next month at the European Film Market in Berlin. Matthew McConaughey is attached to star in the film, which is centered around the true story of a modern day gold prospector. Gaghan (who also wrote Traffic for Steven Soderbergh) will be working from a script by Patrick Massett and John Zinman (The Blacklist, Friday Night Lights). Crash writer/director Paul Haggis is among the producers on the film.
