The band are the first to be the announced for this year's festival, which will be held in its new home of Strathallan Castle on the weekend of July 10-12. Tickets for the festival go on sale February 27 at 9am from the T in the Park website. Festival Director Geoff Ellis said: "The Libertines are a truly iconic British band, revered as cult heroes by a generation of music fans and adored by the Scottish crowd. They chose Scotland as the destination for their live return on home soil last June, and raised the roof of the Barrowlands with two exhilarating shows.
