My Morning Jacket Played Two New Songs And Covered 4 Classics With The War On Drugs' Frontman At One Big Holiday '15 — stereogum.com

Feb 2nd '15 by James Rettig @ 11:33am2 Comments My Morning Jacket played their first shows in over a year at this year’s One Big Holiday, their own music festival that takes place in Mexico. (Here’s our report from last year.) Over the course of two nights, the band debuted two new songs that fans are calling “Big D” and “Compound.” They also played a bunch of covers, including Hall & Oates’ “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire,” Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You,” the Cars’ “Drive,” Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” Willie Nelson’s “Luckenbach Texas,” Elton John’s “Benny And The Jets,” and two Bob Marley tracks. During their two shows, they were joined on stage by Conor Oberst, War On Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel, Sylvan Esso vocalist Amelia Meath, and a few more special guests. Check out some short videos from the shows and see the setlists below.
