Sarah Silverman is best known for making us laugh. Whether from her stand-up or her comedic roles (or “I’m F–king Matt Damon,” which deserves a category of its own), she’s typically cast as the funny girl.
Her latest role, as a depressed mom in “I Smile Back,” which premiered recently at the Sundance Film Festival, veers sharply away from her typical fare.
Asked by MTV News if she had a good time making the film, which she called “challenging,” she said, “I always think of good times like in terms of belly laughs. And there weren’t any belly laughs.”
