Chinese ordered to put a stop to cruel trade in ivory by wildlife campaigners — mirror.co.uk

Wildlife campaigners are piling the pressure on China to end illegal ivory trading. They met members of the Chinese government last week to demand an end to the sale of tusks which has fuelled the slaughter of 100,000 elephants in the past three years. The move is a boost to the Sunday Mirror’s campaign to end the vile trade in the tusks and skins . China is the world’s largest importer of illegal elephant tusks , which are used for carvings and medicine.
