It was a case of art imitating life imitating art, or something like that, when Sarah Jessica Parker—arguably best known for a role that celebrated fashion, style, New York, and above all, very expensive shoes—decided to design her own under the label SJP, but it was something entirely else that drew her to Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin of Tome. “It was the most organic, simple thing,” Lobo said on Wednesday of the small clutch of single-sole pointed-toe pumps in turquoise, black, olive, and a ruddy poppy shade that Parker created for their fall collection. “And that’s what a great collaboration is, honestly,” Martin added, “when it’s just easy and straightforward and everybody wants to do it.
