The screenplay for Birdman — written by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Nicolás Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris and Armando Bo — was named best original screenplay tonight at the 10th annual Final Draft Awards, held at the Paramount Theatre on the Paramount Studios lot. The prize for best adapted screenplay went to Gillian Flynn for adapting her novel Gone Girl to the screen.
At the ceremony, hosted by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant and presented by the screenwriter software publisher Final Draft, the screenwriting team of Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, whose credits include, Big Eyes, The People vs. Larry Flynt and Ed Wood, were given a Hall of Fame Award.
