Actor Emile Hirsch has been charged with felony aggravated assault after allegedly choking a woman at Sundance last month, say police.
The charge, which is punishable by five years in prison and a $5,000 fine, was confirmed by the Associated Press. The victim is allegedly Paramount exec Dani Bernfeld.
The incident occurred during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City on Jan. 25, according to charging documents obtained by the AP. Police were called after Bernfeld alleged an assault at Park City's Tao Nightclub in the early hours of the morning. Authorities say two people had to pull Hirsch off her.
