Borel's Cajun & Creole Cookery's Mardi Gras celebration could easily double as the restaurant's three-month birthday. The place opened in mid-November and has been serving gumbo, jambalaya, beignets and lots of other New Orleans favorites. Fat Tuesday brings beads, beer, food and music from 11 a.m. until closing, which will be whenever crowds thin. Expect a few items not usually on the menu, including alligator, frog legs and fresh, shelled crawfish.
