Target has enlisted some high-profile musical talent to help launch their new TargetStyle ad campaign. The retail chain brought together Charli XCX and The Roots’ Questlove and Black Thought for a cover of the classic 1990 dance anthem “Groove is in the Heart” by Deee-Lite.
The cover is almost a dead ringer for the original, though Charli’s smoother delivery and Quest’s production flourishes give it a fresh beat of its own. It premiered in a new commercial which debuted during the 40th anniversary special for Saturday Night Live, and you can check it out now below.
