Google's Next Chromecast Could Be Based On This Qualcomm Prototype — forbes.com

Today SlashGear broke a story about Qualcomm's Qualcomm's new reference design for a streaming stick. I’ve been covering this as news for various places, and seen it appear on dozens more. But what has occurred to me is that this could very easily be the next next iteration of Google's Google's incredibly popular Chromecast. There has been talk for some time that Google would release a new version of Chromecast at some point. After all, the original might be brilliant from a pricing and convenience perspective, but it lacks any real processing power and has a very limited set of abilities. The next version of Chromecast needs to do two things, it needs to offer the same simplicity, while adding more features.
