Rolls-Royce welcomes the decision by ARKIA Israeli Airlines to select up to four Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, powered by the Trent 7000 engine. Bruce Blythe, Rolls-Royce, Senior Vice President - Customers, Civil Large Engines, said; "We welcome ARKIA’s decision to select the A330neo, powered by our Trent 7000 engines. We look forward to delivering outstanding performance and economics." The 68-72,000lb thrust Trent 7000 will deliver significant performance benefits compared to the current version of the Trent 700. It will improve specific fuel consumption by ten per cent; have twice the bypass ratio; and will halve noise.
