Hundreds of passengers arrived at their destination, only to find empty carousels in baggage claim. “The conveyor belt system in Miami had some kind of breakdown [Friday] morning,” American Airlines spokesperson Joshua Freed told the International Business Times. “It meant the passenger bags couldn’t move through the system for several hours.”
