Well luckily Rita Ora had some guidance by way of her stellar stylist Jason Rembert who delivered a custom red-carpet stunner from Marchesa, featuring a trumpet hem with gilded touches. “We feel extremely honored that she would choose us for her incredible moment,” said Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, and Ora chose to extend the moment in question, later taking to the stage in a dramatic strapless dress by Vera Wang featuring a black fitted bodice that blossomed into a white full skirt with an exaggerated train. “I have been exploring the contrast of black and white and the architectural structure, discipline, and drama of the two neutrals juxtaposed against each other,” said Wang of her frothy confection, adding, “performance dressing has to be far more specific, functional, expressive, and impactful.” With two captivating numbers on her first go around at the awards, no doubt Ora and Rembert have already had a winning Oscar season.
