Dressing for the red carpet is tricky enough even when you’re not pregnant. Leave it to expectant mom Keira Knightley, though, who swept up nominations this year for her role in The Imitation Game, to demonstrate that maternity style doesn’t have to mean wearing a muumuu. At the Golden Globes, Knightley kept things interesting with a bug-print Chanel dress that featured layers of ruffles for contrast, offering a sly hint at her growing bump. The English actress furthered the concept of print dressing in more frocks by Chanel with a painterly touch, as well as beautiful florals from Erdem and Giambattista Valli. But it was in floor-length stunners from Valentino Couture and Delpozo that Knightley truly came into her own, displaying a truly elegant, yet modern take on how to rule the red carpet even when you are carrying a plus-one in the making.
