After decades as one of rock's preeminent experimenters and badasses, Kim Gordon released her memoir, Girl In a Band, this week. We (myself and Tye Comer) were beyond honored that the rock icon sat down with us for an interview about her book on this week's Must-Hear Music (or in this case, Must-Read Memoir) podcast.
Gordon explains why she opened the book with the 2011 dissolution of Sonic Youth -- "It situates me where I am now, but also, I think that's what people were most interested in" -- and why New York in 2015 still excites her, but makes her feel "a little bit like an outsider."
