Ah Monopoly, the staple board game in many a home. Since its birth in the early 20th century, Monopoly has been party to family nights in, crafty dealings and rows over who gets which playing piece galore.
But now it may be witness to something even bigger: a sheer injustice.
Why? Because as it stands, London is losing its spot on the new global Monopoly Here & Now: World Edition board. The board, which will feature the most popular cities from around the world as voted for by the public, is being crowdsourced by Hasbro and Buzzfeed and currently, London has not passed Go, has not collected £200, and will not appear on the board. It needs to reach at least position #20 to secure a spot and it’s currently sitting not-so-pretty at #22 (apparently #20 is Sydney, pah).
