Running back Ray Rice and the Baltimore Ravens came to terms on a settlement regarding his wrongful termination grievance in January, and the particulars of that settlement are now reportedly known.
According to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun, the Ravens paid the 28-year-old former three-time Pro Bowler $1.588 million in an effort to prevent the case from being heard by an arbitrator.
Rice was cut by the Ravens in September 2014 after video showing him striking his then-fiancee and now-wife Janay Rice at an Atlantic City casino was released.
