10 things to do while in Atlanta

Since I lived in Atlanta for a short while, some time ago, here my suggestions if you get there just for 2-3 days. Hope you enjoy them.

1) Get a beer at Virginia Highlands' bars (great music and awesome atmosphere on the patios)
2) Piedmont Park: enjoy a music concert on the grass (there are many during Spring)
3) CNN: you can get a tour inside their studios, and it is super interesting!
4) Go shake your bootie in Buckhead: the place is crazy and fun. ;)
5) Aquarium: the city has an impressive aquarium (even the ZOO I hear is great, but I do not like all the animals in captivity)
6) Paolo's Gelato: when you go to Virginia Highlands, get a gelato at Paolo's. It is the closest to the real thing (I mean the Italian one)
7) Stone Mountain Park: go visit, it is like 30mins from the city, and it is pretty cool, especially at sunrise or sunset. Perfect place for an unusual date. ;)
8) Get two tickets for The FOX Theatre. They usually have great shows there (including wonderful musicals) and the architecture is awesome. Especially inside, you will see it: it appears as it is an arabesque kind of theatre. Difficult to explain, but totally worth the ticket price!
9) High Museum: not many know about it, but it is really a great museum, not only for the pieces collected, but also for the building itself. If I remember correctly, they also had a nice bar.
10) CocaCola Museum: oh yes, Atlanta was where they invented Coca Cola (and I believe also air conditioning! Of course, with such heat in the summer). A visit to the museum of Coke is super fun and you get to taste plenty of drinks, for FREE! :D
