In Paris today, Anthony Vaccarello showed a collection inspired by a trip out West. Cowboy territory, in other words: The glamour-loving Italian came home with stars in his eyes. Disassociated from their flaggy red, white, and blue associations, the stiletto-sharp five-point motifs were applied to leather and placed on angularly slit minidresses made for the kind of nights that don’t end until dawn. If past sartorial choices are anything to go by, we’d wager a bet that that front-row luminary Donatella Versace (Vaccarello also designs Versus), thoroughly approved of her acolyte’s star turn.
