Rice was looking to receive $3.529 million, the amount he would have made had he played the 14 games after his original two-game suspension. The grievance was settled in January. He was reinstated to the NFL in November after a judge ruled he had been punished twice by the league. He is now an available free agent, and told the Baltimore Sun he “really want[s] to get back out there for [his] pride and to be able to leave the game with dignity.”
