The world is a far less hostile place for many girls born today. In the past two decades, a girl's chances of receiving an education, enjoying a constitutional right to equality and living longer have increased considerably, according to a report (PDF) released on Monday by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Foundation and The Clinton Foundation. "No Ceilings: The Full Participation Report" marks the 20th anniversary of the U.N. Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, where leaders from 189 nations gathered to fight for global gender equality and protect women's rights as human rights.
